English Instructor Recruitment
We are seeking a dedicated and professional English instructor to join our team.
Job Description:
- One-on-One In-Person Lessons: Conduct 40-minute face-to-face English conversation lessons.
- Student Demographic: Students aged 10 to 18.
- Lesson Content:
- Free conversation.
- Speaking practice for English proficiency exams (mostly Eiken).
- Conversation practice using specific textbooks and focusing on target grammar points for each lesson.
- Administrative Duties: 20 minutes per lesson for preparation and completing lesson reports.
- Progress Reporting: Regularly report on the progress of your students.
- Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Standard Lesson Rate: 2,420 yen (tax included) per session (consisting of a 40-minute lesson plus 20 minutes for prep and admin work).
- Meeting Rate: 1,350 yen (tax included) per hour.
- Commutation Allowance: Reimbursement of actual expenses up to 500 yen per day.
- Probationary Period:
- During the first month, the rate is 2,200 yen (tax included) per lesson.
- Training will be provided through several hours of meetings before you begin teaching actual classes.
Working Hours:
- Availability: Flexible within the following hours:
- Weekdays: 16:00 – 21:00.
- Weekends: 11:00 – 21:00.
- Flexibility: Short shifts (1–2 days a week, 2–3 hours per day) are welcome.
Requirements:
- Language Proficiency: Native English speaker or possess equivalent native-level speaking ability.
- IT Skills: Basic IT skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Professionalism: Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and basic business manners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching English to Japanese learners.
- Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N5 or more.
